Fabric distinction:
To determine whether the fabric is sword weave fabric or air-jet fabric, you can look at the edge structure of the fabric:

Loom distinction:
Rapier loom:Use rigid or flexible rapier heads and belts to clamp and guide the weft yarn. In addition to being suitable for weaving plain and textured fabrics, the rapier loom is characterized by easy color change and is suitable for multi-color weft fabrics. It is suitable for the production of yarn-dyed fabrics, double-layer velvet fabrics, terry fabrics and decorative fabrics.
Jet loom: Use the jetted compressed air to pull the weft yarn through the shed. The biggest features of the air-jet loom are fast speed and high labor productivity. It is suitable for plain and textured fabrics, fine and high-density fabrics and large-volume fabrics.
Advantages and disadvantages of gray fabric:
(1) Jet machine produces gray cloth with general fine count yarn There are many varieties, with higher grades, mainly light and thin fabrics; rapier machines generally have more varieties of coarse yarns, with lower grades, mainly heavy fabrics.
(2) From the equipment point of view, air jet and rapier are just different in weft insertion.
(3) Weaving gray fabrics of the same organization, the cost of raw materials is the same, the weaving cost is lower, such as twill, the speed of the jet can reach up to more than 800 rpm, the rapier can only turn about 180-200 rpm, and the jet blocker can watch 10-12 units per person. The maximum number of arrow shafts is 4-6.
