According to the Nepal News Agency, the Momento Apparels clothing factory in Jhapa region of Nepal was closed recently.
The factory said that the government’s policies towards the factory, labor unrest, ongoing regional conflicts, and the cancellation of duty-free exports to the United States were the reasons for the closure of the factory.
The garment factory has a history of 12 years and employs 3,500 people. It is one of the largest garment processing enterprises in Nepal.
