French online media quoted the latest statistics from the European Bureau of Statistics (Eurostat) as reporting that European footwear imports from China showed a downward trend in the first seven months of 2008.
According to the latest statistics from Eurostat, from January to July 2008, European footwear imports from Asia showed a downward trend from the following countries: China (down 1.7% compared with the same period in 2007), Vietnam (-1.7%), Indonesia ( -2%).
