A survey recently released by the IMF shows that despite fierce competition from Southeast Asian countries, Bangladesh’s garment exports will maintain a strong momentum. The IMF believes that cheap labor is still the main driving force for the growth of Bangladesh’s garment exports, and its cost (US$65) is only 1/2 of Cambodia and Vietnam, and 1/3 of China.
