According to Vietnam’s “Economic Times” report, Vietnam’s footwear exports in the first nine months of 2008 amounted to US$3.65 billion, and it is expected to complete the export plan of US$4.5 billion in 2008.
According to reports, Vietnam currently has 450 shoe factories with an annual output of 500 million pairs, directly or indirectly creating 1 million job opportunities, of which 90% are female workers aged 18-25.
