The main reason is that the overall environment of the downstream textile market this year is not optimistic, and there are not many orders from weaving mills. Some are just small orders. In addition, the market for fabrics is highly competitive and saturated. Weaving mills have basically digested fabric inventories and raised funds. As a result, the confidence of weaving mills this year is low and demand is sluggish. At present, the pure polyester yarn market is basically stable, market participants are in a wait-and-see mood, and shipments are flat. As of September 21, the mainstream transaction price of 32S pure polyester yarn in Jiangsu pure polyester yarn market was around 11,200 yuan/ton, which was an increase of about 100 yuan/ton compared with the same period last month.

Recently, the overall market situation of the upstream raw material polyester staple fiber market has been relatively stable and is in the stage of consolidation. Although there was a slight rebound at the beginning of the month, it generally has little support for polyester yarn. As of September 21, the mainstream quotation in the 1.4D direct-spun polyester staple fiber market in Jiangsu and Zhejiang is 7,100-7,150 yuan/ton, which is an increase of about 150 yuan/ton compared with the same period last month. At present, the operating rate of polyester staple fiber has rebounded slightly from the previous period, but it is still at a low level, and there is no obvious increase or decrease in inventory. Therefore, the current polyester staple fiber market is operating stably. Since August, the polyester staple fiber industry has been profitable. As of September 21, the average profit of 1.4D direct-spun polyester staple fiber in Jiangsu and Zhejiang was about 398 yuan/ton.

Taking 32S pure polyester yarn as an example, based on the polyester staple fiber market center transaction price of 7,085 yuan/ton on September 21, the average cost price of pure polyester yarn raw materials is 7,368 yuan/ton, plus an average processing fee of 3,000 yuan/ton. , the guaranteed cash flow price of this product is about 10,368 yuan/ton. The current transaction price of 32S pure polyester yarn in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang markets is about 11,200 yuan/ton. The average profit margin of pure polyester yarn products is about 832 yuan/ton, while the previous price is about 11,200 yuan/ton. The profit in the same period last month was about 893 yuan/ton, which was a decrease from the same period last month.

Generally speaking, it is now the “Golden Nine” period, but the polyester yarn market is still dull. Faced with such a situation, many market participants are not confident that the market will improve, and they mostly adopt a wait-and-see mentality.
