When many consumers buy clothes or a four-piece bed set, they always see “cotton” or “cotton” Pure cotton” words. So what’s the difference between the two?
Cotton generally refers to finished products. Usually we will say: This dress is made of cotton, and this bedspread is made of cotton.
Pure cotton generally refers to fabric. Usually we will say: This fabric is pure cotton, this fabric is pure cotton, pure cotton fabric, pure cotton fabric.
The editor gives an example: a quilt cover is made of 40S pure cotton fabric (40S refers to: using one or two pieces of cotton to make 40 yarns with a length of 1 meter).
When purchasing goods, no matter what the merchants say, consumers only need to look at the wash label or product introduction (there will be product introductions when buying clothes online), and look at the material indicated above: 100% cotton or fabric composition: 100% Cotton, that’s fine. Regular merchants or regular online stores will not use the words “pure cotton” or “cotton” on the material, but choose (100% cotton).
Cotton fiber is a natural fiber, so cotton fabrics will not cause any irritation when in contact with the skin. Cotton is soft and close to the body and does not cause static electricity, so many consumers like cotton fabrics.
Disadvantages are that it shrinks easily after cleaning, has poor wrinkle resistance, is easily deformed, and has poor elasticity.
