Identification of poplin:
(1) The fabric is called “poplin” “It is required to have the delicate feel and luster of satin, so if the yarn count is less than 40, the effect of silk will not be obvious. Therefore, among textile products, the industry generally does not refer to products with a yarn count of less than 40 as: poplin.
(2) In the same way, if the density of warp yarns does not reach more than 100, the texture of the cloth will not be good enough, and the feeling of satin will be slightly worse when molded, so the industry generally Plain cloth with a warp density of more than 100 threads is called poplin.
(3) If there is not much difference between the warp density and the weft density, it can only be called: fine cloth or plain cloth. Only when the warp density exceeds the weft direction by more than 20 threads, can it be considered: poplin.
