At the Shenghong Petrochemical propane dehydrogenation unit in the Lianyungang petrochemical industry base, the company has “collected” and purified industrial by-product hydrogen by adding external hydrogen supply pipelines and supporting equipment. It is reported that Shenghong Petrochemical can produce 790,000 cubic meters of industrial by-product hydrogen per hour, which can be purified to form about 530,000 tons of product hydrogen every year. Most of it is recycled in related production links, which can save about 1.5 billion yuan in costs every year and reduce 100 million tons of carbon emissions. By developing the “green content” to enhance the “gold content” of the industry, Shenghong Petrochemical has taken greater steps in high-quality development.
