In 2004, Jiangxi Changjiang Chemical Company, Hangzhou Huazheng Electronic Materials Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Nanya Copper Clad Fiber Co., Ltd. jointly established Jiangxi Changjiang Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. to jointly seek the development of the electronic fiberglass industry.
The new company vigorously carried out technological transformation, introduced major equipment from Europe to build a one-stop production line, and coupled with a strict quality assurance system, the annual production capacity of its leading product, glass fiber cloth (7628 and 2116 cloth) for printed circuit boards, reached 18 million meters, and the product quality reaches the ASTM7628 standard of similar foreign products. Other main products include fiberglass cloth for printed circuit boards (7628F), fabric-type electronic grade fiberglass yarn, fabric-type glass fiber roving, etc., all of which have reached the advanced level of similar products in China. During this period, Changjiang Company developed a variety of new products to meet market demand through multiple technical reforms. In 2008, the company developed a new generation of starch-type single warp and single weft electronic yarn to produce electronic-grade alkali-free glass fiber cloth technology, and the project was included in the National Torch Plan.
