Morocco plans to export masks to Europe

On May 11, the Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade stated at the weekly meeting of the House of Representatives that masks produced in Morocco are ready for export. Morocco currently has 23 factories that can produce non-woven protective masks for non-medical purposes, with a daily production capacity of 10 million. The local market can no longer consume such huge production capacity. The pharmacy’s reserves are saturated, and the delivery speed to pharmacies should be reduced from 6 million to 2 million. He also emphasized that Morocco currently has a strategic inventory of 50 million non-woven masks. The Moroccan government decided to continue exporting in order to maintain production capacity. It is understood that the export direction of masks is mainly to France and other European countries.
