The European Commission recently announced the draft authorization regulations on February 12, 2020, which will temporarily revoke the GSP preferential treatment granted to some Cambodian products such as clothing, footwear, travel products, and sugar cane. Due to The European Parliament and the Council of Ministers of the European Union did not express any objection within 2 months after receiving the notification from the European Commission. The draft was officially adopted by EU Gazette No. L127 on April 22, 2020, and became Authorization Regulation No. 550 of 2020 (Commission No. 550 of 2020). Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/550), effective from April 25, 2020, and implemented from August 12, 2020.

According to Article 2 of the Authorization Regulations, if there is a product covered by the Authorization Regulations before August 12, 2020, it is already in transit to the EU and the destination cannot If the change is made, these products will still enjoy preferential treatment, but it must be supported by a valid ocean bill of lading.
