On April 15, Lanzhou Petrochemical’s first melt-blown cloth production line was completed and put into production, and products were produced.
In order to win the battle against the epidemic, various places have built mask production lines to produce medical protective masks. However, there is a shortage of meltblown cloth, the main raw material for mask production, on the market. Mask manufacturers are faced with the problem of high production costs and difficulty in purchasing raw materials. Under the arrangements of China National Petroleum Corporation, Lanzhou Petrochemical and Liaoyang Petrochemical began to build melt-blown cloth production lines to alleviate this situation.
In order to rush to build a melt-blown cloth production line, Lanzhou Petrochemical quickly established a project headquarters and established a work coordination group, a procurement group, an engineering and equipment group, a production preparation group, Six professional working groups, the laboratory analysis group and the product sales group, simultaneously carried out various tasks such as plant site selection, equipment procurement, civil construction, preparation of production raw materials, preparation of operating procedures, and on-the-job training of operators. In the last 48 hours of equipment installation and commissioning, management, technical and operating personnel arranged work plans by the hour and worked all night long. In order to meet the deadline, Lanzhou Petrochemical dispatched personnel to travel 5,300 kilometers back and forth to transport the suction material metering and mixing device that was supposed to be shipped from the manufacturer from Guangdong to the factory. The equipment manufacturer Shaoyang Textile Machinery concentrated its technical strength to work overtime, and the civil construction unit Lanzhou No. 2 Construction mobilized elite troops to carry out the construction carefully, creating good conditions for the smooth advancement of the project.
The melt-blown cloth production line put into operation by Lanzhou Petrochemical has a designed production capacity of 500 tons/year, and another production line with a designed production capacity of 700 tons/year is also stepping up progress. It will eventually form an annual production capacity of 1,200 tons and form an industrial chain with the five mask production lines that have been completed and put into production to produce high-quality medical masks.
