The Ministry of Health stated that Vietnamese manufacturers can immediately start pre-export operations, and since domestic demand is currently intact, the Ministry of Health will not set an upper limit on export quantities.
Statistics from the Ministry of Health show that there are approximately 68 companies in Vietnam that produce medical equipment and protective clothing. In addition to cloth masks, some textile and garment companies are also investing in the production of medical masks, such as Garment 10 Corporation and TNG Investment and Trading Co., Ltd.
However, the Vietnam Trade Office in the European Union warned that if production control is not strictly followed in accordance with technical standards, the mass production of medical masks and protective clothing may lead to a flood of inferior products. , and over-supply will cause damage to the export and image of Vietnam’s medical equipment products. The Vietnam Trade Office in the EU pointed out that manufacturers must pay attention to the fact that if they want to export medical masks and protective clothing to the EU, they must use the CE mark in accordance with regulations.
