The Ministry of Finance of India announced on April 9, 2020 (Notification No.20/2020 Customs) that exempted respirators (HSCode: 9018 or 9019), masks (HSCode: 63 or Any chapter), personal protective equipment (HSCode: 62 or any chapter), new coronavirus detection reagents and quarantine reagents (HSCode: 30 or 38 or any chapter) and raw materials for manufacturing the aforementioned products (HSCode: any chapter) Section) import duties and health taxes.
The above regulations will take effect immediately from the announcement date on April 9, and the above tax exemption measures will be effective until September 30, 2020.
