U.S. officials: The U.S. government will purchase 55.5 million masks from 3M every month for three months; the Trump administration has ordered a total of 166.5 million masks from 3M.

3M Company: Plans to import 166.5 million masks from China in the next three months; currently the company produces 35 million masks per month; it will continue to sell masks to Canada and Latin America provides masks produced in the United States; the production capacity of N95 masks is planned to reach 50 million per month by June.
