Announcement No. 5 of 2020 from the Ministry of Commerce, General Administration of Customs and National Medical Products Administration on orderly export of medical supplies
Currently, the global epidemic is accelerating its spread. On the basis of doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, orderly export of medical supplies is an important measure to deepen international cooperation in epidemic prevention and control and jointly respond to the global public health crisis. During the special period of epidemic prevention and control, in order to effectively support the global fight against the epidemic, ensure product quality and safety, and standardize export order, starting from April 1, the export of new coronavirus detection reagents, medical masks, medical protective clothing, ventilators, and infrared thermometers will be restricted. When the enterprise declares to the customs, it must provide a written or electronic statement (see attachment 1 for the template), promising that the exported products have obtained my country’s medical device product registration certificate (see attachment 2 for relevant registration information) and meet the quality standards of the importing country (region). The customs shall inspect and release medical devices based on the medical device product registration certificate approved by the drug supervision and administration department. The above-mentioned export quality supervision measures for medical supplies will be dynamically adjusted depending on the development of the epidemic.
Relevant medical supplies export companies must ensure product quality and safety, comply with relevant standards and requirements, and actively support the international community in jointly fighting the epidemic.
