Interfax Moscow, March 25th, Eurasian Economic Commission Trade Commissioner Srepnev said that the Eurasian Economic Commission passed a resolution prohibiting transfers to the Eurasian Economic Union Export various types of personal protective equipment overseas. The resolution aims to ensure the reliable supply of masks, goggles, protective clothing and other materials within the Eurasian Economic Union and prevent the large-scale export of the above-mentioned materials.
Srepnev said that the Eurasian Economic Commission’s resolution on the Eurasian Economic Union’s duty-free import of personal protective equipment and medical supplies needed for epidemic prevention has been promulgated and taken effect. It will help medical staff and medical institutions in alliance countries obtain necessary epidemic prevention supplies. The alliance has reached a principled consensus on holding departmental consultations to discuss specific issues such as material shortages in a member state, mutual supplies and humanitarian assistance.
