On March 3, 2020, the WTO Safeguards Committee released the safeguard notification submitted to it by the Indonesian delegation on February 28. The Indonesian investigation agency made a final decision on safeguard measures on imported fabrics (Fabrics) and recommended that safeguard measures be implemented in the form of special tariffs from May 27, 2020 to November 8, 2022 (see the table below for details).

Stakeholders should submit electronic and paper consultation applications within 7 days of the announcement.

On September 18, 2019, Indonesia launched an investigation into safeguard measures against imported fabrics. On November 5, 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued Announcement No. 162/PMK.010/2019, deciding to implement a 200-day temporary safeguard measure on imported fabrics from November 9, 2019 to May 26, 2020. The tax numbers of the products involved are 5208.12.00, 5208.32.00, 5208.49.00, 5208.51.90, 5208.52.90, 5209.12.00, 5209.22.00, 5209.29.00, 6006.42.90, 6006.43.90, 6006 .44.10、 6006.44.90 etc.
