On January 30, 2020, the Vietnam Trade and Defense Bureau announced that starting from November 7, 2019, Vietnamese domestic enterprises will impose restrictions on products originating in China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. An application for anti-dumping investigation of polyester filament yarn has been officially accepted by the Vietnam Trade and Defense Bureau. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam will decide whether to file the case within 45 days.
