On December 23, 2019, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission (CAMEX) issued Resolution No. 19 of 2019 on nylon threads originating in China, Taiwan, and South Korea (Portuguese : fios têxteis de filamentos contínuos de náilon) made an affirmative final ruling on the first sunset review of anti-dumping and decided to continue to levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved (see the attached table for the specific tax amount: Tax Form of the Enterprises Involved), which will be valid for 5 years. The Mercosur tax numbers of the products involved are 5402.31.11, 5402.31.19, and 5402.45.20.
On July 9, 2012, Brazil launched an anti-dumping investigation into nylon threads originating in China, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan, China. On December 27, 2013, Brazil made a positive final ruling on the case. On December 24, 2018, Brazil launched its first anti-dumping sunset review investigation into nylon yarn originating in China, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. On March 14, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 15, canceling the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation of nylon yarn originating in Thailand. On September 2, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 53, making the first anti-dumping sunset review preliminary ruling on nylon threads originating in China, Taiwan, and South Korea.
