On July 24, 2018, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) implemented a recall of Chinese-made children’s denim shorts.

This recalled product is children’s denim shorts. The shorts have a rainbow and watermelon patch pattern on the front and are available in sizes 2T-5T. Product number 324-8191 and date code 12/17 are printed on the inside white label.

The patch on this product may fall off, posing a suffocation hazard to children.

The recalled products were sold in various physical stores and online stores of JCPenney in the United States from February 2018 to June 2018. About 5,400 units were sold, priced at approximately US$22.

Currently, no reports of accidents or casualties have been received.

The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact JCPenney to receive a full refund in the form of a gift card.
