Recently, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) announced the effective date of the 93 product quality control orders issued by the Ministry of Textiles and other departments. Products included in the quality control order must comply with relevant Indian standards and be certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards and affixed with the standard mark. Otherwise, they may not be produced, sold, traded, imported or stored. The relevant situations are shown in the table below.
